Psi Chapter
In the spring of 1993, five distinct women desired to bring multiculturalism to life at Indiana University's campus. These women began the process by researching multicultural organizations nationwide that aligns with their core values. This is when they fell in love with Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc. This organization not only aligned with the women's principles, it allowed them to bring a change on IU's campus with the multicultural community. But this process was definitely not easy. It took these women, four-five years that included several meetings, 80 page papers, and a unbreakable motivation to bring this organization to life. It wasn't until April 7, 1997, when Sigma Lambda Gamma was officially charted at Indiana University as the Psophisticated Psi Chapter, the 23rd chapter of the fastest and largest multicultural greek organization. It is thanks to our founding line, Natalia Peral, Christina Rocha, Patricia Sandoval, Elsa Flores, and Andria Equia, that our Psi Chapter was able to recently celebrate our 26th anniversary with over 100+ siblings!
